"Our technology pioneered the use of time reversal (TR) for defect detection and condition assessment of pipelines."

TR involves an experimental (forward) step where the systems response of the actively generated water-born transient waves propagating at high speed (km/s) are sensed, and a theoretical (backpropagation) step where the chronological order of the sensed waves is reversed and reemitted into a model of the urban water pipeline system (UWPS). The reversed signals focus their energy on scatter sources in the UWPS with a resolution that improves with frequency and is proven to achieve the limit set by wave physics.

Hyele provides a real-time, automated and autonomous condition assessment technology for smart and sustainable urban water systems.


Detect existing leaks, bursts, blockages malfunctioning devices, pipe wall strength condition and harmful transient.
